Meeting Finn

Here are some pictures of family and friends meeting Finn for the first time.

Finn or Cohen?

Finn looks a lot like his older brother, so I thought I'd put together a little guessing game.  Some of the following pictures are of Finn and some are Cohen (taken at the same age).  Can you guess who is in each picture?  Answers at the bottom.

Four Months Old

Where have the last four months gone?? My sweet baby is now 15 lbs 12 oz (50th percentile, 90th percentile corrected) and we have seen many changes this month.  It feels like Finn has been in a perpetual growth spurt for the last month, feeding constantly.  He continues to be a wonderful baby and still sleeps a lot during both the day and the night.  He has discovered toys and likes to watch and reach for toys suspended above him, but has not yet mastered holding toys.  He has started watching Cohen and is interested in everything he does and he loves any kind of attention that Cohen gives him, especially the numerous kisses (and tolerates getting stickers put on his head).  The best part about this past month is that Finn has become a very smiley baby and always has a smile and a coo for his Mommy :)

Three Months Old

We had a big milestone this month.  On Feb. 2 Finn smiled for the first time!  His smiles are still very few and far between, but when I do see them, they melt my heart.  Finn is really starting to grow and no longer looks and feels like a newborn.  He's starting to get a bit chubby and definitely doesn't look like a preemie.

Two Months Old

At two months old, Finn now weighs 9 lbs 8oz and is 55.5 cm long.  He continues to sleep much of the time and is a very quiet and easy baby.  We are still anxiously awaiting his first true smile.  He has proven to be much more of a preemie than Cohen was and I think we can expect most of his developmental milestones to be delayed.  Cohen has really started to love having Finn around and always has many hugs and kisses for him.  He tries very hard to be gentle and most of the time achieves it.  He also likes to help Mommy by putting Finn's soother in his mouth or rocking him when he's in the car seat.

One Month Old

It's been a busy first month.  Finn is now 7 lbs 12 oz and has been home for two weeks now.  Cohen has had a difficult time adjusting, but has not directed any of his frustrations or emotions at Finn.  Cohen is mostly concerned with Mommy's attention being diverted away from him, but he seems to like the baby so far.  Finn sleeps much of the time and is feeding really well.  We are lucky and thankful that he's so healthy and thriving.  We are slow to introduce him to family and friends because his immune system is quite weak and we need to limit any exposure to germs, but overall he's doing extremely well and we're so happy to have him home!
