Two Months! - Twee maanden oud!

Cohen turned two months old last week while we were on vacation at the cottage.  Today we had his 2 month doctor's appointment and his first set of vaccinations.  He was really good with the shots, crying only for a brief moment with each needle.  His weight is currently 12 lbs 2 oz, which puts him at the 50th percentile for weight and his height is 55 cm, which is the 25th percentile.  This month Cohen started smiling and has started taking an interest in several toys.  He's been through a few growth spurts and his awake periods continue to become more interactive.  He's doing extremely well for a preemie and we're so proud of him!

Here's his photo at two months to compare with his one month photo.

Regenboog explosie - Rainbow explosion

This was my facebook status on July 15 at 1:22 in the morning, unfortunately no photos as I had my hands full at the time.
"I just experienced my first poop and pee rainbow explosion. There was brown, yellow and dark green poo, 4 diapers and 10 wipes involved in a single diaper change. I will no longer worry that he hasn't pooped in over 24 hours. Joy."

Smiling - Glimlachen

Cohen has been smiling for a few weeks now, but it has taken a while to capture it on the camera. He's becoming more and more smiley every day and I never get tired of seeing his open-mouthed grin. He's especially smiley in the morning and it's pretty easy to forgive him for waking me up at 4 or 5 am when I'm greeted with his happy smiles.

Einde van de zomer - End of Summer

You turned 2 months old this past week which was also the first week of September and the official end of summer. We were on vacation at cottages in Muskoka with both sides of the family. Unfortunately you slept through most of it so you missed the camp fires at night, canoe rides with Molly, 100km bike rides with uncle Chris and 5.5 hour hikes with Oma, uncle Chris and aunt Kate (and of course Molly). You are definitely starting to be more alert, especially right after eating. You are smiling lots and almost laughing. Here are some photos of the beautiful Muskoka scenery you missed. Your Mom will be putting up more photos of you soon enough.
