Happy First Birthday Cohen!

We had a great time celebrating Cohen's first birthday on Saturday with our family.  Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate and for spoiling Cohen with such generous gifts.  He's a lucky boy to have such an amazing family.

12 Months Old!

Happy Birthday to our sweet little guy!   You came into our lives one year ago and it has been the most amazing year to watch you grow and develop from a newborn into an infant and now a toddler.  We love you so much and can't wait to see what's in store next!

This past month has been another busy one and we've hit another major milestone.  Cohen is now walking (he took his first steps on Daddy's birthday).  He's extremely busy and likes to take items out of and then put them back into containers.  He has started dancing when he hears music.  So far he doesn't have much rhythm, but it's awfully cute to watch.  He also waves hello and good bye.  His favorite toys continue to be any type of ball and anything with wheels.  He still does not have any words, but he makes a "vroom vroom" sound when playing with cars.

Canada Day with the Ruzickas

We celebrated Canada Day at the cottage with the Erin, Ian and the girls and the Ruzicka clan joined us for the day as well.  We had a wonderful day and Cohen went swimming in the lake for the first time (he loved being in the water with all the big kids).  Here are a few pics from the day:

On the Move

This post is long overdue because Cohen has been mobile for a long time, but I thought this would be an appropriate time to share because last week he took his first unassisted steps!  He's not walking on his own yet (although he could if he wanted to, he's very strong and sturdy), but will walk between Mommy and Daddy when encouraged.

This is also from a month ago.  Cohen is much sturdier in his walking now and almost runs through the house with this walker.

Enjoying the Weather

We've been able to enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having by spending lots of time outside, going for nice long walks with Molly and spending time at various parks with friends.  Here's a few pics of Cohen and his friend Henry chillin' in the park.
