Mommy & Daddy's Night Off!

Cohen had his first sleep over on Saturday night at Oma and Opa's house with Uncle Kyle and Wyatt too!  The best part was that Mommy and Daddy got a whole night to themselves!  Yay!  Cohen loved all the special treats from Oma and Opa and some one-on-one time with big cousin Wyatt.  In fact, he had so much fun that he didn't want to go to sleep....and stayed up until midnight.....and woke up again at 5 am!  

Thank you Oma, Opa and Uncle Kyle for taking such good care of Cohen and Molly!  We enjoyed our night in Niagara-on-the-Lake!

Visiting with Friends

Last weekend we had a nice visit with Giselle, Steve and Aidan.  Cohen loved discovering all of Aidan's toys.

Keeping a Toddler Occupied in the Hospital

I've just gotten around to taking these pictures off my phone from Cohen's first stay in the hospital in January.  It wasn't always easy to keep a one-year-old happy while confined in an 8'x5' space for a week and connected first to the oxygen and later to the IV.  We brought some of Cohen's toys from home, plus books and his colouring books and markers.  But, there was a lot of TV watching (thankfully they had a TV with the Treehouse channel) and playing games on the ipad (thank God for technology!).  These are activities that Cohen doesn't get to do much of at home, so he was happy to do them much of the time.

Oh, here's a great way to keep busy for 15 minutes....go through Mommy's purse and empty all the contents, then go through the wallet and do the same!

Reading with Mommy

One of Cohen's favorite activities these days is reading books.  Daddy managed to capture a few pics of Mommy and Cohen reading the other day.
